High School Band allows students to further develop skills in music theory and their specific instrument. Students will have numerous opportunities to grow through Marching Band, Concert Band, Solos, Ensembles, Honor Bands, and Jazz Ensemble. At the end of their experience, students should have a firm grasp of musical concepts and skills.

High School Debate provides an opportunity for students to learn and practice proper debating skills. Students compete against other schools at the local, regional, and state level.

Student Council is a student led service organization. Students elected to Student Council learn and engage in leadership activities and promote school involvement.

Academic Team competes in conference matches and OSSAA tournaments. Competitions are designed to test student knowledge on various areas ranging from academic areas to pop culture.

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)

FBLA is a national organization focused on the developing skills and knowledge related to the business environment. Activities focus on developing work ethic, communication skills, and learning about various business environments.

FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America)

FCCLA is a national organization with a focus on career and leadership development. Students involved in FCCLA can participate in community service projects and competitions

FFA

Yearbook

Student join the yearbook staff to create and produce the Skiatook High School yearbook for the school year. It does require attendance at school events outside of the school day to capture images for the yearbook.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)

The purpose of NJHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage citizenship.

Middle School Band gives students an opportunity to learn percussion or a wind instrument. Students will be able to understand and demonstrate the basic fundamentals of their respective instrument and music theory by the end of their middle school band experience. Instruction in Jazz and participation in solos, ensembles, and honor bands are also available.

Students will learn to sing with correct posture and enunciation. They will learn basic music theory and how to read music. They will perform as a choir in concerts and at other venues when opportunity arises.

TSA - Technology Student Association

The Technology Student Association is a national and state student organization created to develop skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as business education. TSA aims to develop leadership, academic, and business management skills in the workplace among students and leaders within the community.
