• 2024-25 starting compensation for beginning teachers: $41,121 for Bachelor Degree, $42,781 for Master Degree and $44,201 for Doctorate degree

Title 1 District- Skiatook Public Schools is a Title 1 district. Under the Teacher Loan Forgiveness (TLF) Program, if you teach full time for five complete and consecutive academic years in a low-income school or educational service agency, and meet other qualifications, you may be eligible for forgiveness of up to $17,500 on your Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans and your Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans.  Additional information may be found at https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/forgiveness-cancellation/teacher

The City of Skiatook, Oklahoma is a suburb of Tulsa just minutes from Tulsa’s historic downtown central business district. State Highways 20 and 11 intersect on the east side of Skiatook’s downtown, and State Highway 20 connects Skiatook with US Highway 75 on its east city limits.

Skiatook’s central retail corridor is a 5 mile stretch of State Highway 20 that literally dissects the community and funnels thousands of people every year to the area’s main destination, Skiatook Lake. The City of Skiatook is actively seeking retail development projects to provide its businesses and residents with the convenience of local shopping and dining. Skiatook is ready to begin a retail growth phase to reflect the residential growth phase of the past ten years.

• Competitive starting compensation for teachers: $41,121 for teachers with a Bachelor’s Degree and zero years experience. Salary scale through Step 30; teachers beyond Step 30 receive an additional $500 per year of service above 30.

• All relevant years of out-of-state experience are reflected on our pay scale

• 10% addenda for educators in special education positions

• $500 stipend for special education paraprofessionals (Tier II)
