Ms Matthews gave her students an assignment with minimal information and told them to figure it out as a group... and wow, it was incredible! They were really engaging, passionately arguing their points, and genuinely trying to figure out the solution together. It was honestly one of the best math arguments I've heard in a while. So proud of their critical thinking and teamwork!

Last night, the 8th graders were honored at their final home game (regular season) of their JH careers after a 9 inning game! These girls have showed so much grit & tremendous growth throughout this season! While it's a chapter closed in their lives, we're excited to see what their future holds with a possibility on the Varsity squad! Coach Parker and Coach Harper, THANK YOU for two INCREDIBLY fun and SUCCESSFUL JH years of ball! (Regular season A & B games combined = 27 - 6 record)

¡Emociones en español! Mrs. Freeny's Spanish class had so much fun learning how to express feelings in Spanish — from “feliz” (happy) to “enojado” (angry) to “emocionado” (excited)!

The marching band competed at the Broken Arrow Invitational Marching contest this weekend after marching the Pioneer Day parade. Skiatook cleaned house! The kids won their class and swept the all captions (Music, Visual, and General Effect.) They ended up 4th overall behind some very good 5A and 6A bands. Congratulate the band kids on an outstanding performance! Up next is Owasso this weekend.

Our Volleyball team hosted Teacher Appreciation recently. We have great students, and great teachers leading the charge here at Newman. Big cheers for the educators who serve, support, and inspire us every day—on and off the court.

After lots of smack talking from some boys, we arranged a little head to head volleyball game for them to prove themselves at our First Friday Assembly. Our 8th Grade girls volleyball team shut them down, and it's safe to say the boys won't be bringing it up 🏐
