Counselor Association (ASCA), highlights the essential contribution of school counselors
within U.S. school systems and the tremendous impact they have in helping students

Recently our girls had the opportunity to sit with Girls Talk Tech panel. Pictured is the Girls Talk Tech Bartlesville Q4 2025 Newsletter, highlighting all the incredible progress, events, and achievements from this past quarter! Each event this year has been possible thanks to the passion and dedication of our volunteers, panelists, and supporters. Together, they are continuing to inspire and empower the next generation of young women in STEM, and we're excited they came to us.

We appreciate our City of Skiatook crews for all they do to assist our schools!

Skiatook Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to extreme cold and hazardous travel conditions. Both days will be traditional snow days.

The district will continue to evaluate conditions through Tuesday evening to make a decision on school for Wednesday, January 28. Should an additional closure be necessary on Wednesday, the district will move to Distance Learning.

Mrs. Henderson's 8th grade Science class did a Moon Phase Activity with Cookies today. They had to create the 8 phases, explain them, and then answer questions based on the Moon Phase, then they got to enjoy the Moon Cookies!!

We're back in action, full speed ahead! To get the New Year rolling, Mrs. Henderson's class discussed challenges we may have faced in 2025, as well as goals we wanted to set for 2026. Each kid picked a word, as well as a saying, scripture or quote to go with their word and decorated it. We hung it on the wall to help hold each other accountable for 2026.

Mrs. Goodwin's ELA classes participated in a “speed dating” format Christmas Break question swap. Students rotated around asking and answering questions with all of their peers. It gave students an opportunity to talk about their break and reconnect with their peers while working on speaking and listening skills.

Congratulations to the 2025-2026 Site Teachers of the Year at Skiatook Public Schools! These educators represent excellence across the district and are now eligible for the 2025-2026 Skiatook District Teacher of the Year honor.
